Middle of September

I made a new pair of curtains for the kitchen window last week. I love the way the sun shines through the panels in the morning. I could sit in the kitchen all day and look at it. Sometimes I do, it is where I have been making all my bazaar ornaments. Yes, the crafting is continuing. But, I am taking the day off today. I am going to run lots of fun errands! I want to look for a shade to put behind the panels. I also want to buy chrysanthemums for outside. I can't believe it is the middle of September! Maybe I can find a cute scarecrow or two!

I know fall is coming and evidently so do these blackbirds. They gather in my yard every year around this time. I tried to get a picture of them in my yard but whenever I moved, they moved. This is my neighbors yard. I guess they know it is time to head south. I have to embrace fall and start thinking apples, pumpkins, sweaters, scarves and heating oil!

Thanks for visiting!

Beautiful curtains! We have been busy here organizing, still. Bought a dresser and now the bedroom is together, yay! Just have the living room left to do.

Enjoy your day of errands! I love this time of year, yet I'm not quite ready for it yet!

I can't wait for the first cool front. It has been so hot and muggy here! Your curtains are lovely!

Hello: I just "met" you on another blog and am so glad I stopped by. I made my first trip to Rhode Island last year. In fact, I made three trips as our younger son was married there last September. I love it! I'm looking forward to spending more time on your blog. That pie looks delicious and so do the curtains.

Best,
Bonnie

Hi, Denise!
Those curtains are just lovely - I truly don't blame you for sitting and admiring them....especially with the way the sun glows through.

I just love all the crafting you've been doing. I especially love all the felt work! I'm crazy for felt, too! I had to laugh when you said that you didn't want to scare anyone with your mentioning Christmas! I think of Christmas all year 'round, but you're right - some people panic at the thought! Those snowmen are too precious!!!

Oh! And I just LOVE your home! The yellow is just BEAUTIFUL! You said that you were glad you didn't chicken out and paint gray - I can see why!!! It truly is beautiful, so happy and warm and that blue door just finishes it perfectly! It stands out and welcomes - so friendly...

Please put more pictures of your home - you are a much better photographer than I and you can see how beautiful everything is!

You go enjoy your fall weather... sigh... I'm going to turn the air down and wipe my brows!

Many Blessings,
Julie
P.S. Did you find you a scarecrow?

Isn't it interesting how much a new window treatment can change a room? Nice job!
