World Card Making Day

Today is World Card Making Day. It would be a major mistake if I did not post at least one card! Last night, I made a few Halloween Cards. I am sure I will make a few more today.

I hope everyone does something fun this weekend!

Camera Crisis

I miss my camera!

I I dropped my camera on Tuesday and had to buy a new one. It is the same camera I had, only a few things have been changed. But to me something is very different. I can not take a clear close up picture!!!!! I love the macro setting! It makes it so easy to show all the little details of my little paper creations. It took an hour to get these pictures! All the others were blurred! I am so disappointed! I am going back to get some help with this situation. As I have said before my house is surrounded by tall pine trees which do not allow a lot of light into the house. When I take a close up and use the flash the picture is just one big blur. Should I cut down all the trees or just move? Hopefully, I will have solved this little issue by Monday.

Little Birdie

I hate to say it, but the holidays are coming! If I start now, I could have my house ready for New Years Eve. I am always changing things around. I will say since I started blogging the furniture has pretty much stayed in place ! But right now, I have to step away from the glue gun (yes, like that is going to happen) and do a little redecorating. Right now, I am working on fluffing pillows, making table runners and basically adding a few new touched here and there.

My father made this pretty little bird feeder. It is made out of some sort of iron! He spray painted it off white and then distressed it. Um, he likes to distress things too. Go figure! Isn't it pretty? I added the candle, the floral twist and the green beads.

I have no idea how he puts these things together. But, the bird is just too cute. Thanks, Dad.

Willow Manor

Today I will be attending a dance at Willow Manor. From what I hear the attendance is already quite high and the music has already started. As usual, I am running late. Thought you might like to see what I am wearing.
I love Reese Witherspoon's style so I am wearing the dress she wore to the Oscars in 2006.

Less, is always more so I am wearing these pretty pearl drop earrings.

Okay, I went big time on the ring, but I don't get a chance to wear this ring as much as I would like.

You can not go wrong with these pretty silver sandal's.

The bag is plain because the dress sparkles so much. It is all about the dress, it is vintage Dior.

I am going alone, husband will be busy this evening. I am bringing a few vintage dance cards. In case anyone should ask me to dance. I just like the idea of dance cards!

Last but not least, a touch of my favorite perfume and I am ready to go.

If you have time.

Stop by www.willowmanor.blogspot.com everything is just beautiful.

The making of a Halloween Card

This is the card I will be sending out to little friends this Halloween. I never sent a Halloween card out until about five years ago. Now, every year I look forward to creating them. They are so much fun to make! I thought I would show you how it came together.

Eek! She needs a little more here and there!

All this cards needs now is the hair to be glittered up and add a black collar, so she doesn't seem like she is floating. A little more distressing wouldn't hurt either!

Plates

With all the paper crafting I have been doing lately I have been neglecting my house. After I finish the projects I am working on I am going to concentrate on a bit of decorating. I thought I might share a few of the plates that I have around the house. Nothing special, but I love plates! Believe me, there are more but it is another rainy day here and it was a struggle to get these pictures. The plate above hangs in my dinning room . The brown plate hangs in my living room. I love the brown plate hanger, usually they are white or black.

The blue plate below is in the living room. I have two of them and they hang on either side of our fireplace. What I like about these plate hangers is that it is so easy to change the plates out for the seasons. I have Christmas plates that are waiting to make an appearance. Maybe this week I can look for a few Halloween plates, great idea!

Wonderful Weekend

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I have a little food shopping to do and hopefully a little more card making. I put this little boo decoration together this morning. I still love using pages from old books. It is going to rain here all weekend, so indoor projects are on the menu.
