A few weeks ago while looking at all the pretty blogs, I found one that had folded paper into circles like these. They are not fans but they are folded in the same manner. I can not remember what blog I found it on or what she actually did with them. There seems to be so many blogs, I could stay on my computer for hours maybe days and not have to visit the same one twice! Okay, back to the fan folded circles, I thought Christmas ornaments. I can always use new
ornaments. I made a few this weekend.

The blue
ornament is made from Christmas wrapping paper. The Santa pushing the pretty packages comes from one of last years Christmas cards.

I really enjoyed making these. I like the ones with the pages torn from old books the best.

As I mentioned before I am spending way too much time on my computer and for a few days I am also putting away my paper and glue. My house needs attention.! I can not remember that last time I painted something or moved the furniture around! I also need to get organize! This may take a while. I hope to be back with something new on Friday. It is going to take all I have to not post, but I will be visiting.
Girl, you are so creative! To just see something crafty and then actually make it... just doesn't work that easy for me. WOW! These turned out really good!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea - they look so intricate and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThese would look perfect on any tree. Did you seal the circle with glue or tape?
ReplyDeletelavinia, I hope I can explain how I did these. The paper I used was not long enough to make the complete circle. I had to make them in two pieces. I folded the pieces, then when I was done folding I stapled the end and fanned it out. Did the exact thing to the next piece and then glues the ends together to form a circle. It makes more sence if you have the pieces in front of you. The fans were strong enough with the staples that I did not need glue. My favorites are the pages from books and the centers can be anything! denise
ReplyDeleteWhat a creative idea. I hope you will post a picture of the finished tree. I am not very good at crafts but yours are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThose are great! I love the ones made with the book pages too!
ReplyDeleteI like the ones with old book pages as well, but these are equally adorable! They have such a "funness" about them. : D Simply adorable!

Very nice, inspired as always.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays

As always, you make the cutest things. I hope you'll take a picture of your tree with all the decorations you make.
ReplyDeleteMy house needs work too. I have a lot to do this weekend. I would much rather wander off and make something.
