This is a Christmas project that I actually just made last night. I wanted to make them for presents, but I never got to it. I bought plain old tiles at Lowes, cut out a few birds and flowers and with the help of a small container of Mod Podge I now have a set of four coasters.

What cute coasters and very clever!
Wonderful idea. I will be watching to see how they fare on the stress test. Did you just use modge podge or did you also seal with clear spray paint?
Blessings,
Lorilee
Lorilee, I just used Mod Podge, but I do have clear spray paint. Maybe I should give two coasters a quick coat of clear spray paint and see how they all stand up.
Very cute I,ve been wanting to make some of those for a while I doubt mine will come out as great.
How pretty! :)
Thank you so much for your prayers for my family last week. We really appreciated them! ~hugs, Rhonda :)
That's a great idea! You have inspired me to go get some tiles and make some. I wonder about the mod podge? Let me know how it goes. I think I'll spray my with some clear sealer. I'll let you know how that goes. You are soooo clever!

I really love this! What a great gift these would make! I need to know what modge podge is!
Hi Denise:
Love the coasters. Your blog is so inspiring. When I'm in RI, we need to get together and share ideas. I love that the bird always appears as well as the flowers.

Very cute! I recommended your blog to some crafty friends last night. I bet the clear spray paint would work as well as the ModPodge. Walmart sells a can for $1.
