There is one magazine I buy every month, In Style. It is always full of fashion and beauty ideas. I guess coral and turquoise are the new colors of the season! I always mark the ideas I like, but seldom do I do anything with the them. Monday night while watching the Red Sox and reading In Style ( I like to blend fashion and sports) I noticed this cute red bag. It cost $78.oo

I am not going to spend $78.oo on a summer bag. Jo Ann's has a good selection of upholstery fabric so Tuesday I penciled in a trip to Jo Ann's. I purchased a 1/2 yard of fabric, 2 yards of jute rope and 8 pom-poms. I used pom-poms instead of tassels, I think they are so cute. It took about an hour and half to make a pattern and sew the bag. I like it , but I think I will make a larger version. I am a big bag girl!
OOOh I love that bag....I am a big bag girl too...I carry a lot of STUFF. :)
ReplyDeleteI think I find the pompoms cuter than the tassels. I love your creation!
ReplyDeleteohhhh, you are good!
ReplyDeleteI love the bag. You did a great job on it. I am constantly clipping magazine articles and pictures for projects I want to try.
ReplyDeleteJob well done!
