Inspiration
A few years ago, I discovered the wonderful world of blogging. I had heard of blogging, but I never thought it was something I would find interesting. Was I wrong! One blog led me to another, then another and then another . I never knew there were so many creative people out there. I have small group of friends that love to make things but most people I know, do not even own a glue gun! Really, a house without a glue gun!
The pumpkin on my computer screen inspired me to make this Halloween card. The card does not really resemble the pumkin. It was all about inspiration.
Then I made another card.
All the cards were made, because I was inspired by a cute pumpkin I found while looking at all the creative blogs out there.

Look closely what do you see?
There is not a lot of contrast of colors in this picture to see what is going on here. It is a bottle of hand sanitizer that I bought last week. As it sat on the counter I thought, boring! I bought it to go in our bathroom. I already have a soap dispenser in there and I thought that transferring this into another dispenser would be confusing. So, I left it in the not so cute bottle as is.
That did not last long, it had to be made pretty! I really should be doing many other things around the house. But, as I have learned over the years the dishes, laundry and dust will be waiting for me no matter how hard I try to ignore the house cleaning. I may have gone a bit overboard with this project but, this little owl makes me smile and what is the harm in that!

Chocolate Covered Marshmallows
I first saw these cute little treats about two years ago at a local art festival. I am not sure why it has taken me so long to try and make them. They are so cute and very easy to make!
I bought a bag of marshmallows, dipped half of a marshmallow in melted white chocolate (I dipped about 8) put them in the fridge for about 5 minutes to harden. Dipped the other half in peanut butter chocolate. Again, I put them in the fridge to harden. See, very easy. Nice little treats for the trick or treaters.

Halloween This and That
I usually do not make anything the least bit creepy for Halloween, but I found this mason jar while looking around the Internet the other night. I feel so bad that I can not give credit to the creator, I thought I saved her name. If you recognize your creation, thank you for the idea! It was fun to make! Of course, I filled mine with candy corn! I found the skeleton heads at The Dollar Store.

The fall treats just keep on Coming!
I would rather eat a scone than a muffin. The pan can also be used to make corn bread.
I also love corn bread!
The combination sounds crazy, but it works. The peanut butter gives the scone just a little bit of sweetness. So far the comments have all been positive!

Sweet Treats
Last fall was the first time I made these chocolate covered Nutter Butter ghosts cookies . They were both cute and delicious! Oh, and very easy to make! Now, they are a must have fall treat! I made this batch earlier today. I will be bringing a few little ghosts to a dinner party tonight.
All you have to do is microwave candy melts for 30 seconds and stir, repeating until candy is smooth. I melt about a third of a bag at a time. Then dip the cookies in the candy melts and add the chocolate chips. I only do the front, the cookie becomes way too sweet otherwise.
I dipped a few Oreos and added two eyes and a candy corn nose. I was hoping they would look like owls. Okay, maybe they resemble owls! I also plan to make more of the pretzels. But, I think there is enough sweetness in the house at the moment!

A little Tour
Come for a little tour around the outside of our humble abode.
I had to buy this cute witch the other day at AC Moore, it was less than $4.00.

She now hangs from a tree in the front yard.
My friend Lorraine made me this beautiful chair about 8 years ago. It stays on the porch until Thanksgiving, or the first snowstorm, whichever comes first. A few friends have mentioned that they would like to take it home.
This wind chime, is always moving! I am not sure how though, we live at the bottom of a hill surrounded by very tall trees. But, it makes the most wonderful sounds. I love it! To top it off, my father gave it to me, always nice!

An oldie, but a goodie. I bought the wreath at Jo Ann's and then added the black birds, scarecrow and ribbon.

It is always nice to Share
It would be a crime not to share the candy corn treats with others! And I seem to be enjoying the treats a bit too much! Therefor, the candy has to go and go now! Candy corn is big in our house! It would not be Halloween without it!

National Card Making Day 2009
It has been a little while since my last post, all is well. I have been doing some redecorating and well, not much else. I could not let National Card Making Day go by without creating at least one card. It is my first Halloween card for 2009. I love the new pad of K&Company fall inspired paper I bought last week. I might not be crafting but I am still buying paper. I have a lot of ideas so maybe I will be blogging more often. I hope so!
