Faithful Subscriber

It is sad that so many magazines are going out of business. A few years ago, I would look forward to sitting down with a cup of coffee and reading my favorites cover to cover. I would find many decorating ideas and maybe a new recipe or two. Now I go on the computer enter the design look I am interested in and up pop as many images as I can handle. Rustic bedrooms! White bedrooms! Blue bedrooms! Blue and white bedrooms! I think I may have contributed to their demise by going online instead of going to the store and picking up a few of my favorites. But there is still one that I subscribe to, Country Living.

I found this picture in this month's magazine. If I had this little sleeping nook as a child, I don't think I would of ever left my room. What am I saying I would love to have it in my house right now. I would curl up in that blanket with my Country Living magazine and read it cover to cover. Then I would ask my daughter to bring me a cup of coffee and a muffin because I would stay there for the entire day!

Thanks for visiting!

I also enjoy Country Living. The sleeping nook is adorable! Looking for things online and finding inspiration online is fun and a person can find so much more all at once without spending the money. Yet, I still like getting a magazine or book. There is something about holding in in my hand and turning the pages, not to mention easier on the eyes than looking at a screen for long. periods of time.I haven't figured out how to curl up with a computer screen yet. lol T
Thanks for sharing,

I had a sleeping nook growing up. My dad built it for me. Inside it had shelves for all of my books and nicknacks. There were also little shelves in the one corner on the outside. Above the bed were lift-up doors where I could store things too. I remember when I was young climbing into the top storage area with a sleeping bad and flash light and reading...I'd even take my cat with me. I really miss my old room.

Me too...to everything you said. I wanted a built in bed from the first time I ever saw one.

So many of my favorite magazines are gone. I was thinking the other day that one of my lifelong loves..paper, is becoming obsolete.

CL is a favorite of mine too! Especially now that Country Home is gone...

LOL...it does look like a wonderfully cozy spot! :D And add a few kitties to make it warm! And yep, CL is the last of the last that I still subscribe too...sad isn't it? So many have gone by the way side.
