Not much to see here!

The weather has changed and not for the better! Fall is in the air, it was 29 degrees last night. It is not too early to start thinking Thanksgiving. I have been looking for a few new recipes to add to the old faithfuls. I would like to add sweet potatoes with marshmallows this year! I am not sure what else but I do enjoy looking at all the recipes!

Halloween Paper Goodies

On Thursday I bought a package of Halloween goodies! It was marked down to $1.99. Just look at a little sampling of what was in the bag! I just had to make a few more cards!
These cards practically made themselves!

A pink broom? Too cute!

The attention to detail is amazing!

I may have to go and buy a few more packages! If you are interested they were at Michael's. The brand name is K and Company.

Treats Treats Treats

I had fun papering the boxes and making the chocolate treats to go inside them. I really do like making all these treats. But, we have had enough of them, it is time to share! I guess, you can have too much chocolate! I mailed these to my where my daughter works.

Before it was covered with orange paper, this was a popcorn box. I was in a hurry to cover this, I thought two large stars would be okay. I hot glued a few fake leaves to the back. Chocolate covered pretzels are inside!

This was an oatmeal box, it is my favorite shape to cover. Inside they will find white chocolate bark made with candy corns, milk chocolate chips and Oreos.

Last but not least another popcorn box. My daughter likes owls. She is the reason I started making all my owl related creations. You can see white chocolate covered Nutter Butter ghosts peeking out of the top.

She called to let me know the box arrived and the treats were well received! I am done making chocolate treats for a while, otherwise they won't really be treats!

The darkside of fall

The not so colorful view of fall.
Gone are the pretty floral cushions, the multi colored toss pillows and the red and white flower pots. Gone is the bright morning sunshine. I will not be having my first cup of coffee out here for a while. No more reading at night until I hear a noise in the woods. Give it a few months and this deck will be covered in snow! You do not want to know the adjectives I could use to describe snow.

Ready to fly

I finished all my Halloween cards.

It seems like this little owl is ready to be put in an envelope. The one behind him, is not so sure!

Okay, now they are all ready! That is what I like to see!
Now where did I put the envelopes?

Colors of fall

Here is another way to enjoy the colors of fall. A dish of candy corn is always somewhere to be found in our house. I will admit this and I can not believe that I actually said it out loud, I have had enough candy corn! I am the one who buys it and I only have myself to blame. This will be the last little dish of candy corn. The cake is pumpkin of course. I was going to make a two ingredient pumpkin cake. All the recipe calls for is a can of pumpkin and a boxed spice cake. I did not have a spice cake so I made another recipe that called for a golden cake mix. I was going to share that recipe with you. I know it is somewhere in my computer. I know I saved it! Now, where is it? I have been looking for ten minutes. I can not find it. To make matters worse, I was going to make a few more for the bazaar! It was very easy, not two ingredient easy, but still easy. I will find it and when I do I will share it with you. It is a very nice pumpkin cake!
