Last Memorial Day Weekend my daughter, her friend and I stumbled across a Barn Sale in Chepatchet, Rhode Island. For a one stoplight town they have three antique/consignment stores and a great rustic general store that sells penny candy. This year we decided to make another visit and I was not disappointed. I found a few things that I am sure that I will use. I bought a couple bags of cloth pins, two bags of buttons , eight green like new napkins and two green vases. They also have this barn sale on Labor Day, so I am thinking there will be another trip at the end of the summer. Have a nice weekend everyone!

The napkins are very nice, that was a good price for all those buttons.Hope you have a nice weekend.
You found the neatest things!
Don't you just love little towns like that?
Have you ever been at Christmas-time? I'll bet they have the best stuff!!! It sounds like such a charming place that I can just imagine they serve homemade cookies and hot cocoa!!! I miss Christmas....
Blessings,
Julie
The vases are so lovely; I can't believe the low price!
The napkins are lovely; how nice it would be to set the table with them in your garden, for a nice meal al fresco.
I'm liking this "barn sale" concept...
I meant to bring my camera with me for our little trip. It really is a sale, that is in someones barn. The other shops are just filled with little knick knacks and furniture. They had ribbons wrapped around a lot of the items. So cute. Lots of vintage linens, glassware, books and furniture. I bring home one more piece of furniture and my house may explode. My husband says he sees things coming in, but never leaving. I think I may give that a try ...something comes, in one thing goes out. The napkins are such a pretty shade of green.
That sounds like a barn sale I would love to go to! Great finds!

Well Lea let me tell you, from experience. You bring something in and you take something out-then you decide you really don't want to get rid of it, so you bring it back in and start looking for something else to take out. It is a vicious cycle, just keep everything only paint it or use it for something else.
Do not get rid of anything, because once you do, you'll wish you had it back. Just go to therapy with me, we can stop at a few thrift stores on the way.
Hugs, RoseMarie
