On New Year's Day, it hit me. The Christmas season is over, what am I going to blog about now? I thought, this might be the end of my blogging. Can I really post about the Christmas ornaments I didn't finish? I have since decided yes, on that. I have a few more to finish and I may just post them! I came to the conclusion, I was done, finished. I didn't think I could make one more cute thing. Well, at least I could visit my favorite blogs. So I began reading and some had already moved on to Valentine's Day! How could I have forgotten about Valentine's Day.
I started to google Valentine's Day images, there are many. I began to realize, I may just be back in the blogging business! I found a cute mitten garland that I just had to make. I guess it was in the Valentine images because it had a heart in the middle of the mitten. It is from the blog "Two Straight Lines". It was posted February 20, 2007. Her garland was all mittens. I knew I had to make one. I could not just copy hers, I would have to give it a little twist. I decided to put a star in the middle and put cuffs on the mittens. I distressed it a bit, added some glitter and a few buttons. I would of never come up with the idea of using mittens for a garland, so I would like to thank a fellow blogger for inspiring me.

The garland is so sweet. I leave some of my Christmas stuff up too! I have a small wreath that is all little red berries that I leave out along with the pine greenery in the transoms. In the spring the ivy will return.

Once the crafty bug takes hold of you it is impossible to give it up! And that's okay because it is fun to be creative and other people love to receive the pretty things you make. So enjoy.
so cute I know how you feel I cant
think of nothing to blog about!
That i a beautiful garland! Now I feel bad for putting away my snowmen already.
The mitten garland is fantastic! I say leave it up till spring!
I have a question. How do you make those precious banners? Is it a paint? A marker? Please inform us!
That is one reason I look at so many blogs, they never cease to inspire me. Your garland is a great way to carry the winter theme to Valentines Day. .....I'm sure there will always be something to inspire you to blog.
Well its still in the thick of winter so your cute mittens are very apt. I saw some Valentines decor selling at Winners the other day and was just appalled. Can we not have a breather between special occasions? Happy New Year by the way and I hope you had good holidays....
I think the mittens are most appropriate for January! :D And cute to boot! Glad you will still be blogging with us!

What a very sweet garland...I LOVE it!
Mommy Lynda, this banner was made entirely from paper. No paint this time.

Oh! Your mitten garland is just too precious! I need to make something like that with the children -- they've been a little down since we took our Christmas stuff down. I've left up 2 -- 2 foot trees in the living room with just the lights on. I just love the glow of a Christmas tree!
Maybe these could be year-round trees and they could decorate them?
I over-think things so often, that I don't always act on them....Keep inspiring me, Denise! Maybe I'll get up off it, one day!!!!
Blessings,
Julie
