Halloween Tea Light Holders

I have been saving glass jars for a few months now.  I made  tissue paper covered tea light holders earlier this year and when they are lit they are so pretty.
I found the idea on Pinterest earlier this week.  I had the jars and believe it or not, I had orange tissue paper.  I call that a meant to be.
To make this project you will need Mod Podge, jars, orange and  white or off white tissue paper, black paper and a small brush.
I did not have black tissue paper so instead  I used black scrapbook paper.  I just cut the eyes and mouth to fit the front of the jar and then glued them into place.
I am so sorry but I forgot to take a picture of the orange tissue paper being glued to the jar.  I just ripped the orange tissue paper into large pieces and glued the pieces  over the black eyes and of course the rest of the jar.

I hadn't planned on making the  ghosts but I had the off white tissue paper so why not make a few?
I was very happy with how they turned out. But I noticed that after the candles were burning for a while the black eyes seemed to fade away.  I colored in the eyes with black permanent marker
and they eyes look bright again.

If I ever decide to do a tutorial again, I promise to do a better job.

Thanks for visiting!

Thanks for checking in! I sort of gave up on blogging...sigh. I don't have my craft things here, it's all in storage. Plus I don't do a whole lot exciting to make up for no crafting. I'm glad you're on Pinterest...I will look you up. Are you using your blog name?

I have been having health issues and my daughter too. Her blood is really low in one protein that affects the lungs. She has had whooping cough, pneumonia and multiple bronchitis episodes in the last few years and they finally nailed down why. She got an updated DPT shot and a pneumonia shot. She will be getting a flu shot too. I had to be on couch rest for a couple weeks, my heart was beating irregular. The doctor said to reduce the stress! HA! Our home still isn't started, they said they'll dig in March and get going on it. So hopefully between October and December of 2012 we will finally move. I hope all is well with you!

Your pumpkins are soooo cute! I will start saving jars, again, once we move! Hubs made me recycle what I had when we packed up in MI.

I'm off to look you up on Pinterest!
