Mint !

Last year I planted spearmint for the first time. Not too many recipes call for mint but I do like to add it to a cold glass of club soda. At the local farm/garden shop I found orange and chocolate mint. I haven't had a chance to use either yet, but I will soon. I wonder if I will be able to tell the difference between orange and chocolate?

YOu can use the chocolate mint to garnish brownies or ch cake. You can even dip the leaves in chocalate before garnishing. I grow lemon mint for teas. Don't you just love the smells mint has. Hugs, Rose

I use mint, finely minced in salads and in stir fry. A little sprig in tea or lemon aid in really good.

Orange and Chocolate mint...are those novelty flavours?

I have plain old mint. It goes so well in a stew of green beans and potatoes/carrots.

Pretty ribbon!

I've seen whole mint leaves added to glasses of mint tea (in a Lebanese cafe).

I love the flavored mints. But alas my thumb is so brown. I hate to condemn them to death, so I don't buy anymore. But they are so lovely.

I have seen chocolate mint for a few years now. The orange mint is new to me. I still haven't tried them yet. The spearmint I just had mixed in club soda.

Aren't those the neatest?
We bought some a couple of years ago and loved them so, it took longer for me to kill them off than it usually does.... I might try some again, next spring!
Blessings,
