Strawberry Cake

A birthday would not be a birthday in our house, without a cake made by my mother. Both my daughters love strawberry cake with vanilla frosting. Sweet does not even begin to describe how it tastes. But, it is what they want, year after year, after year! This year I added a little something to the top of the cake, pink chocolate covered strawberries.

Little bits of chocolate and beautiful strawberries, this was our Easter dessert. There was one small piece left, that I wrapped and put in the refrigerator. I have been slicing a bit off everyday. Today, as I write this there is one very small piece left. But not for long! I am watching "Julie and Julie" and for some reason I am getting hungry! It is my second time watching the movie, I like it. It makes me want to take a trip to Paris and I don't really like to travel.

Thanks for visiting!

I finished the cake!

I've seen the movie and I'm not surprised that you're hungry. Nice that you still have something yummy to eat while you're watching it.

Oh my - yuuuuummmmmmmyyyyyy! Can I come over for a piece? It looks so refreshing. Hope everyone enjoyed their birthday! Did you get all the water out of your basement? I hope so - that had to be a very difficult time for people in your area. Hope the sun is shining in your neck of the woods today! Have a good one!

What a gorgeous cake! And yep, that movie does that! :D And so does her new one (It's Complicated). She cooks in that one too. Makes me wish that I was more accomplished in the kitchen.
